6th Annual Rebekah Clour Golf Event
Dempsey, Weiss and Associates would like to thank everyone who contributed to the
6th Annual Golf Outing, which was held on September 21.
Twelve-year-old Rebekah Clour suffers from a rare birth defect of the brain. Her
condition requires Hypobaric Oxygen Therapy, which is administered twice a day
for twenty continuous days.
This treatment costs $5,000 per twenty-day session and takes place four times a
year when funding permits. Personal insurance does not cover any of this treatment
so we began organizing this golf event to assist in the only way we can.
Our goal each year is to raise money for Bekah’s treatment. But we also try to
provide our participants with a great day of golf and our sponsors with an
opportunity to advertise their business.
This year with we were able to raise over $9000.00. $5000.00 will be donated to
Bekah’s Special Needs Fund and the remaining amount will be donated to assist,
another local child, Sherman Graves and the family of Farm Family agent Larry Hayes .
Over the past 6 years, Dempsey, Weiss has raised over $44,000.00 to help Bekah
and other individuals. This is an impressive amount for a small business, but it is due
solely to the support of a large, caring community.
